Clever, inspiring in itself
this is a very clever work, inspirational in itself. the relation to modern and classical philosophical ideas of the complex and imaginative philosophy surrounding deism, the source of inspiration and the role of the poet/prophet is adressed in a unique fashion. this is an inspirational insight into others thoughts on inspiration. (particularly good section on Shelley!)

Wow! My kids love this book.
My children found a copy of this book at the Longview, Washington Public Library and they can't get enough of it. In fact, we have since gone on a tour of the library and local bookstores looking for any other children's mouse related books. There must be something magical about There Is An Old Mouse Who Lives In My House that has made my kids love reading again. I just have to say thank you to the author!

Those Little Bastads
Published in Mass Market Paperback by GreatUnpublished.com (30 September, 2002)
Author: E. Christopher Clark
Average review score:

This book is worth reading over and over again!
I'm one of those people who opens something halfway through the book and likes to start in the middle of a conversation - I have found that you can tell more about an author that way. Well I must say, after having done that - I was captivated. The entire book is a must read. I like the earthy style it is written in, it is not boring or trite by any means but has a lot of tang and spice and makes you want to say "let me read that again!" because you sort of have to do a double-take.

There were many phrases where I just sat there speechless (in a good way) because this was completely uncensored and unabridged. I like books where the author can express themselves in such a genuinely creative way and I am highly impressed.

Mr. Clark does a fine job of keeping the reader on their toes and constantly flipping pages to find out what the heck he is going to say next. The story lines are easy to follow and keep you interested on more than one character - which grabs ANYONE'S interest. I would recommend this to ANYONE!

Three Books on Life (Medieval and Renaissance Texts and Studies, Vol 57)
Published in Hardcover by Medieval & Renaissance Texts & Studies (September, 1989)
Authors: Marsilio Ficino, Carol V. Kaske, and John R. Clark
Average review score:

Key Work by Renaissance Mage
Marsilio Ficino, born in Florence in 1433, was one of the greatest exemplars of the Renaissance as a rebirth of classical learning. Ficino was the leader of the Florentine Platonic Academy and translator of many neo-Platonic and Hermetic works, including at the urging of Cosimo de Medici, the Corpus Hermeticum.

Three Books on Life is not a translation, but an original work by Ficino written for the benefit of scholars and intellectuals, who being under the dominion of Saturn and Mercury, suffer melancholy and related health concerns.

The third book, is however, the most interesting as it details Ficino's world view and gives his methods of astrological magic. Ficino, a priest and devout Christian, saw no real contradiction between the teachings of ancient philosophy and Christianity. He therefore felt free to use astrological magic particularly for healing and other medicinal purposes.

What is most significant about Three Books on Life is Ficino's ability to provide a theoretical framework for astrology and magic as well as practical examples of how to practice astrological magic.

Kaske and Clarke have done an excellent job in the MRTS edition of Three Books on Life. Their introduction is good, despite a few errors only noticeable to an expert on traditional astrology and the text with the Latin original facing the English translation is quite useable. This translation is much better than the Charles Boer's edition.

For those interested in Neo-platonic and Hermetic thought, astrology and magic in the Renaissance this is an essential primary source.

Toddlers' Action Bible
Published in Hardcover by Concordia Publishing House (June, 1998)
Authors: Robin Currie and Bill Clark
Average review score:

Interactive Bible for Busy Toddlers
Read familliar Bible stories to your busy toddler while giving them a chance to join in the action. Each line of the story is followed by a action for your toddler to emulate. They are invited to march like the soldiers, bah with the sheep, and walk with Jesus. Each story is followed by a short prayer related to what they just read and acted out. The stories of Jesus' arrest, crucifixion and resurrection helped my son understand what Easter is all about, without scaring him with details that he is not ready for yet. I highly recommend this as your child's first Bible.
